A casting icon does not always mean the same casting protocol.

Not in the store yet. SeekCast 0.3.1 has been submitted for US Samsung TV review. No public installation or launch date is available. Follow launch status →

Samsung TVs

Version 0.3.1 was submitted for 46 model groups across model years 2022–2026 in the US. These are requested targets, not a list of approved or universally tested TVs. Store visibility and installation will depend on Samsung's final approval and your TV's region and model group.

Development checks used official Tizen 6.5, 7, 8, 9 and 10 emulators. Emulator results do not prove every physical model, network or phone app. We will publish confirmed store availability on the launch page. No store support is currently promised for older model years or other regions.

Phones and casting protocols

SetupWhat to expect
iPhone or Android app with DLNA castingCandidate setup. Test the particular app, source and TV during the trial.
AirPlay / iPhone Screen MirroringNot supported by SeekCast.
Chromecast-only appNot supported by SeekCast.
App that only lists the built-in Samsung receiverNot sufficient. It must discover and send a playable source to SeekCast TV.

We do not yet publish a verified list of third-party phone apps. A successful setup with one app must not be read as support for every app on that phone.

Video sources and seeking

The TV must be able to retrieve and decode the source supplied by the phone app. Container, codec, server behavior, authorization and stream type can affect playback and seeking. A public unprotected on-demand video is a useful first test; a successful test does not establish that another service works.

Live streams may not provide a seekable timeline. Protected video, paid-content access and bypassing a service's restrictions are not included. SeekCast does not supply videos. Learn why a stream may play but not seek.

Network and internet

Phone and TV must be on the same home network, with local discovery permitted. No computer or NAS is required. Internet access is required to start a trial, purchase, restore and periodically verify access. After an online check, purchased access can continue offline for up to seven days; trial access for up to one day, within its trial period.

Try before you buy

The planned store edition has a seven-day trial starting with first successful playback, followed by a $4.99 USD one-time purchase for one active TV. Test your own setup first. There is no automatic charge. See the purchase and refund terms.
